A time when the entire city explodes in a 5 day long revelry. It happens at the peak of summer, when Brazilians are at their best.

The festivities attract thousands of people from all corners of the world. It is a 5-day celebration. It starts on Saturday and ends on Fat Tuesday (Mardi-Gras) (Dates change every year), although the party goes on through "Wednesday of Ashes".

Carnival 2005 will be on February 4th through February 9th.
